January, 2026 strong winds and heavy rain hit Bali and Nusa Penida, boats to Gili Island are closed due to bad weather, however boats from Sanur to Nusa Penida and vice viersa are still running. Raining all day makes Nusa Penida gets flooding in certain areas such as near Banjar Nyuh Harbour/Toya Pakeh harbour, Ped area, Sampalan area and Crystal Bay area.
Strong winds common in the morning between 3.00 am to 6.00 am and in the afternoon and it makes sea water gets wavy and turbulent sea water.
Snorkeling and diving gets closed due to strong wave.
